Recreation at RTC
The Recreational Program at Rabiner Treatment Center is a treatment component which utilizes selected activities of recreation, education and creative experiences designed to meet psychological, social and physical needs of youth. Many of our clients have developed ineffective ways of relating to one another or to adults. Many lack age-appropriate motor skills or possess extremely low levels of self-confidence. Therefore, a living and learning program of activities is extremely important to teach more effective socialization skills and to provide clients with positive self-image-enhancing activities.
Objectives for Recreation Program:
- To provide safe recreational opportunities for the clients we serve.
- To provide opportunities for creative experiences.
- To teach social skills in a group situation.
- To encourage growth and development of coordination skills.
- To teach communication skills.
- To develop a sense of self-worth.
- To Have Fun!
